Client of the Quarter: November 2022

Todd Alexander


Hi, my name is Todd Alexander. When I first walked through the door of IPT for my assessment, I was 200lbs and 40% body fat. I had my share of triumphs and missed goals. I was putting in the work, but it took a while. Eventually things started clicking and I learned WHY I had been struggling! I was my own barrier to my goals! My mindset was holding me back! Then I hit my biggest milestone at IPT… ACTUALLY LISTENING to the staff. Fitness is more than hitting PRs (personal records) in the gym… It MUST encompass the right nutrition, exercise and… believe it or not sleep, stress management and recovery! 


I have a demanding, stressful job. So, nutrition especially seemed like an extra burden! And it is such a massive change of habit and lifestyle… However, I wasn’t going to let that stop me! I started implementing proper nutrition, limiting alcohol, I’d log my food in that obnoxious app I despise and I would make all of my sessions. I completed a 75 Hard, started taking Krav Maga self defense classes… and… BOOM! My progress started to move in the right direction!


Then I had a motorcycle accident. ALL of my progress VANISHED! I was BACK at 200lbs and high body fat. To say I was upset and stressed out would be an understatement. But… I DID NOT GIVE UP! I went to physical therapy, I struggled through my recovery and struggled a lot throughout my sessions… I LISTENED to what Josh, Ray, Amy and the rest of IPT would tell me… It took a little time for it to sink in because I’m stubborn like that… but I’d keep reflecting on their recommendations and then ACTING on what they would say. Each of them had been there, done that. They have professional training on a VARIETY of fitness methods and also recovery too! Their passion is sharing that knowledge and helping us. That depth and variety of knowledge I can’t find at any of the big-box gyms where no one knows your name… and certainly not building a community through Dakota with the baseball games, Top Golf, etc!


I started to LEARN from IPT and would take bite size chunks of those lessons to see how I could implement those into my life and recovery. I found INSPIRATION in how others dealt with their own personal setbacks… I saw their own will-power and determination and I KNEW without a doubt that I could do the same! I started to become curious WHY some things worked and some things didn't… I began asking questions, first about the workouts and my form… then the dreaded nutrition…I began seeing how my diet, exercise, and my LIFESTYLE  were ALL interconnected to my overall physical health… then it hit me like a freaking lightning bolt! The habits that got me to where I was, COULD NOT be the habits for the lifestyle I wanted! It really is that simple. 


The ENTIRE staff of IPT had those revelations and they became the change they wanted. The hard part was deciding what to do with the facts of the situation. I made the decision to commit. I MADE the changes to my nutrition, my fitness, my TOTAL health. The results were TURBOCHARGED!!! What was interesting is how the good and healthy choices I was making for my total health started to spillover into my personal and professional life! 


I’ve been LISTENING and ACTING on their advice, and when I’ve had questions, I ASKED! When I wanted to do something to improve my functional training for a Krav Maga belt test, I communicated those transitional goals then Josh and others would rally around to make that happen. The results speak for themselves, I’ve lost 13.7lbs of fat in 4 months and I feel healthier and happier. It’s a journey. It won’t always have the results I want each time I scan, but I know that I have friends and mentors at IPT who are coaching me along the way.

Steve has been crushing it ever since joining IPT in Dec 2023. He continues to stay consistent with his nutrition, cardio and exercise. He always pushes past his limits in every workout which has resulted in losing body fat mass every month! He lost a total of 35.7 lbs of BFM since joining! Steve Lepping has transformed his life for greatness!

Andrea has been at IPT since July of 2023 and has been the definition of consistency! She always makes adjustments to her nutrition and exercise when needed and pushes herself in workouts every single time. Each month she exceeds her goal of losing body fat mass, and has lost a total of 24lbs of BFM since joining! She's able to chest press 25 lb dumb bells and can do a full pushup without any assistance now. You can really see the difference in how Andrea carries herself and the confidence she has now compared to her first day at IPT. She completely transformed her life for the better!

Rey has been here since early June & has never missed a session! He's on-point with his tracking for nutrition and always does his cardio. He has hit every goal since he started and has lost 49.6 lbs of body fat mass and gained 3.8 lbs of skeletal muscle mass. Down from 48.9% BF to 36.6% BF. The health of his knees has improved drastically and he continues to have an exceptionally positive attitude!
